Creator, BananaSplitsClub.com, Hamilton, MA | Summer 2021

  • Created BananaSplitsClub.com website and training manual so students at other high schools can create their own versions of Banana Splits Club; wrote and compiled a step-by-step guide to starting a club, suggested activities for club meetings, and a list of valuable resources

  • Established affinity group that provides a supportive, inclusive, and safe space for kids with divorced parents to speak openly about their experiences and develop strategies to turn adversity into strength 

  • Lead weekly discussions on the challenges of managing multiple homes and difficult circumstances; encourage self-advocacy; offer resources to seek mental health support

  • Invite guest speakers such as psychiatrists and guidance counselors to educate club members about the effects of divorce on teens, offer professional guidance, and answer questions 

  • Partner with school administration to create positive policy change such as allowing multiple parent-teacher conferences and providing extra sets of classroom materials for students with two homes

  • Meet regularly to strategize ways to increase awareness of autism in the community; plan and participate in mentorship program between Pingree School and local autism spectrum youth

  • Created and displayed posters throughout school to promote club and raise mental health awareness

Youth Ambassador, Youth Villages, Lawrence, MA | 2020-present

  • Serve in newly-created Youth Ambassador position; share teen perspective in taskforce meetings; collaborate with Director of Learning and Strategy and Youth Villages Board to build awareness of key programs and create engagement opportunities for at-risk teens ages 13-21

  • Assist Backpack Heroes Initiative by filling backpacks with essential back-to-school supplies for kids ages 5-21 to set them up for success in the upcoming school year

 

Girls Varsity Ice Hockey Manager, Pingree School, Hamilton, MA | 2019-present

  • Manage score sheets, player statistics, and game data during home games; control the game clock

  • Travel with the team during away games to offer administrative support and team encouragement

  • Oversee all team equipment; distribute water bottles to ensure players stay hydrated during games 

 

Assistant Coach, Scoops Lacrosse, Cohasset, NJ | 2017-present

  • Coach girls ages 4-7 on the fundamentals of lacrosse, including stick skills, field positioning, ball work, and offensive/defensive moves; teach basic rules of game

  • Set up and lead drill stations; exemplify proper form and technique; teach the importance of sportsmanship, communication, and teamwork 

ATHLETICS

 

Varsity Lacrosse, Pingree School, Hamilton, MA | 2019-present

  • Three-year varsity low defender; practice five days per week; compete in games 1-2 days per week

  • Participate in an intensive two-week bootcamp prior to each season; engage in team workouts and captain’s practices in the offseason

  • Serve as role model to underclassmen teammates through one-on-one buddy system

 

Laxachusetts Club Lacrosse, Weymouth, MA | 2019-present

  • Three-year starter (low defender); try out yearly for a spot on the team

  • Engage in weekly practices in the offseason; compete in six local and national tournaments annually

  • Engage in intensive strength and performance training four days per week to supplement team workouts; perform circuit workouts to increase speed, agility, balance, stamina, and muscle mass

 

JV Soccer, Pingree School, Hamilton, MA | 2018-2020

  • Three-year JV starter (middle-left defender)

  • Practiced 4-5 days per week; competed in games 1-2 days per week

  • Regularly led dynamic stretching, passing and footwork drills, and field communication exercises

  • Won Team Award in sophomore year, selected by team captain and coaches as most valuable team member of the season

 

NEFC Soccer Club, Mendon, MA | 2016-2020

  • Four-year starter (outside-left/middle-left defender) on New England’s premier soccer club

  • Practiced two days per week; competed in games and tournaments 4-6 days per month

  • Trained privately to develop ball-handling and shooting skills, speed, agility, strength and conditioning, and defensive skills

 

Horseback Riding, Back Bay Farms, Ipswich, MA | 2009-2019

  • Trained competitively four days per week in hunter and equitation to improve flatwork, trotting, cantering, positioning, and jumping skills; engaged in 3’3” courses

  • Traveled throughout the northeast to compete at junior level shows 

  • Won 11th place at Massachusetts Horseman Championship (2016); seven-time qualifier

  • Won the Jeanette Dennis Memorial Challenge Trophy at the North Shore Horseman Association

  • Three-time qualifier for the New England Championship

Volunteer, Think of Us Tech Platform, New York, NY | 2019-present

  • Meet regularly with company founder to discuss how to engage with youth in foster care on the Think of Us App as they seek employment and educational opportunities

  • Co-led an event for kids in foster care including a farm tour, meeting with a large animal veterinarian, and teaching the basics of caring for farm animals 

  • Chaperoned apple-picking adventure at True Vine Farm in Hamilton, MA; explained process of selling fruit and vegetables on a farm

  • Selected and distributed holiday presents and an assortment of books to students participating in the annual Talent Show at the RFK Children’s residential campus in Lancaster

  • Sponsor & Volunteer, Cambodian Children’s Fund, Phnom Penh, Cambodia | 2016-2018

  • Sponsored two girls from Cambodia through a program that helps disadvantaged Phnom Penh children secure education, food, and other essential resources

  • Offered support and companionship to sponsored girls through weekly virtual check-ins and emails; ensured they were staying on track with the program; exchanged cultural stories and traditions
